fotoz

for some reason everything is being underlined an totallyout of order right now. oh well.
seamus is so sweet when she sleeps. she calls that blanket her muck blanket.

the photo below is of seamus right before we left for brunch on sunday and she is taking my photo with her view finder.

oh! look no more underlining! how did that happen? these are of sirus's second attempt at rice cereal. he thinks rice ceareal is prettytasty!

luke came over for a visit. seamus and luke rode the rocking horse. seamus went to get her hat and put it on backwards so she could be like luke. then she leaned in for a kiss!

fake 8:30 is the new 11:00

on saturday seamus's friend Luke came over for a visit. luke is just a few days younger then seamus and they have hung out before. it was fun to watch them play - seamus would try to hug and kiss luke and at one point decided she wanted to run around in just her shirt. i don't know why. there were a few small power struggles over some of the toys but all in all it went pretty well. my favorite part of the day was when luke started playing with a little airplane. seamus took it from him and ran up into her bedroom. luke was kind of upset so i tried to divert his attention by showing him seamus's cow-in-the-box. he turned the handle maybe twice and we heard just a few notes of the music before we heard pounding feet upstairs and a screaming seamus "NO COW-IN-THE-BOX". in less then 2 seconds she was back downstairs trying to take it away. how in the world did she hear it?

so on sunday eric and i didn't wake up until 8:30. It was amazing. Even though it was fake 8:30 because we set the clocks ahead the night before so really our bodies were still adjusted to it being 7:30, the mental rush of opening our eyes to see a clock that said 8:30 was almost more then we could handle.

the plan for the day was to take seamus and sirus to see the easter bunny. since seamus didn't do so well with santa claus this year i decided i would show her the photo from last year of her sitting on the easter bunny's lap. she really liked the easter bunny last year and just sat there petting his fur so i had high hopes. as soon as seamus saw the easter bunny she started crying and started walking the other way. i took sirus over to the bunny and seamus's crys turned into "where's sirus" all concerned that he was with the easter bunny. eric asked if seamus wanted to see him and she just cried some more pulling eric away. they walked away and every time eric tried to get her to stop she would get all upset again. finally eric put her on his shoulders and it seemed as though that since she was now taller then the easter bunny it was ok. sirus was the only one with a photo with the easter bunny this year. we then went to the play area for about an hour. i was carrying seamus when we finally were leaving and i asked her if she wanted to go see the easter bunny and she looked at me, paused, then very quietly said no.

no longer a freak show

how do i spell releif?

M-E-D-E-L-A

I am much more equal now, but let me tell you, i pumped out 9 ounces from the right side - in 10 minutes! do you know how much 9 ounces is? thats like almost an entire can of soda. that is a whole heck of a lot of stuff.

but i used that neat trick to my advantage in the work weight loss challenge. at the first weigh in i wore big heavy boots, jeans, drank two glasses of water and made sure to be totally un-pumped. at the final weigh in i made sure to wear no shoes, light weight pants, pee a bunch and pump until empty. i came in 2nd and made $80 which added to the $200 i made for completeing a dare at the sales conference makes each of my kids able to enjoy 2.12% of one year of college. yes, i will pimp myself out for my childrens' education. i have no shame when it comes to my babies.

lop sided

so here i sit with my super stylish monster truck monster jam world tour t-shirt looking like a red-neck bad arse. this is all fine and good except that my right boob is probably about twice the size of my left and its pretty noticeable. i need to hit the lactation station but wont be able to until 11! until then i will look like a boob job gone bad and only getting worse.

the donuts are pawpi-ing

i love icecream. ver much. i had icecream prett much every day of my pregnancy and conitued that trend for quit some time after. eric likes icecream, too. in the summer time it was not uncommon for us to walk to safeway, pick out a 1/2 gallon for him and a half gallon for me, grab some plastic spoons and chow down on our walks home. yes, you read that right, 1/2 gallons. not pints. pints in our house are pointless. pints are for at work. it just wouldn't be right for me to sit at my desk with a 1/2 gallon, but a pint is acceptable in the public eye. i love donuts just about as much as i love icecream. so does eric. on our 2nd anniversary i was 8.5 months pregnant with seamus and eric got us some donuts for breakfast. we ate donuts all day and that was it. that evening we both crashed and got in a huge fight. i went and got a pedicure, eric went and got sone pizza and then everything was back to normal. donuts are good and bad for this reason. when i was pregnant with sirus they were rebuilding a shp up the road. it was an old gas station that was remodeled into a retail store but now was being remodeled into something else. we weren't sure what until one day we saw that they had mounted a giant round thing on the roof. was it a tire? was it a donut? we sure hoped it was a donut and it turned out it was a giant top pot donut. right down the street from us. we actually haven't gone there very often but man, when we do, its heaven. this morning at work they brought in like 80 boxes of krispy kreme donuts. i have been trying to cut out sugar and other bad things this past week, except for the chocolate i had on saturday and sunday and then the frostys from wendys i had on monday and tuesday, but other then those, i was doing pretty good. until those damn donuts showed up. ah, i love donuts.

on another note, check out this great email that pawpi got the other day:

Hi,
Several years ago, I stumbled upon Pawpi's picture online. Ever since then, I decided I wanted a Scottish Fold of my very own. It was hard convincing my husband. He said he didn't want "designer kitties."
After several years, we reached a compromise, and adopted 2 straight-eared Scottish Folds from a breeder. We named them Gus and Lulu, and they are a year old. But, Pawpi's name stuck, and it has become an adjective, noun, and adverb in our house. When the cats do that thing where they stand up on their back legs, we say, "oh look, they're Pawpi-ing!" When they lay on the floor on their backs, staring into space with all four paws splayed out and bellies exposed, it's "They're being Pawpis!" We even refer to them as "the Pawpis."
Once, my mom was talking to a friend of hers about our new cats. She was telling her how cute they were, but she couldn't remember the name "scottish fold" off the top of her head. For some reason, the "pawpi"
term stuck in her head, and she told her friend that the breed of cats we had were called "Pawpis."
So, just wanted to say thanks for putting Pawpi's picture online! We have certainly enjoyed her over the years, and now we love our very own Scottish Folds as well!

lactation station

there is a room at work that is set up specifically as the lactation station. it used to be on the 4th floor in a fairly secluded area until it was taken over by people wanting to take naps during the day and rampant rumors of work day sex started circulating. there is a couch in there, you see. that was the room i used when seamus was born. now there is a new room on the 5th floor. it has a nice lounging chair and a lamp and a clock and an old file cabinet i use to set my computer on. when i first started using this room the whole set up of it was so everything faced the door. if someone walked in they would get a good look at me milkin. so i quickly asked the other girls who use the room if i could turn it around. everyone thought that was a great idea. there is a lock on the door and you can only get in if you have a key, but you just never know. the next thing that happened was that the light bulb burned out. this happened one day as i tunred the light on. no big deal, i just went over to the switch and clicked the over head light on and went about my buisiness. this was fine and dandy until the overhead light shut off. the motion sensor for the light had been covered and i did not realize this until it was too late. that sesson was done. i have since uncovered the sensor and don't use the lamp. one day though i was sitting so still that the light turned off. this happens in my office occasionally and always freaks me out. now, i shouldn't complain because i could have to set up my lactation station in the bathroom or some other equally undesirable place, but there is one last thing that just is wierd about this room. it is located right by the creative services departnemtn and every time i come in or out of the room they all stop what they are doing and look up. i don't know how i feel about that.
at the house the bathroom tile is almost done. apparently it will be totally done by thursday. wea re going to go look and sinks and toilets today at lunch. hooray! and we are going to look at furniture, too!

super swimmer

this weekend was a big weekend! lots happened! on friday i met with charity for lunch and then a stroll around target. charity is getting married to chad in september and i am very excited about that.
on saturday seamus, sirus and i all went for a walk with our friend starla. starla is 19 weeks pregnant and is so cute that i can barely stand it. she has started to feel the baby move around and she is going to find out what kind of baby it is in another week or two. we walked to the u village and seamus played in the park while starla did some shopping. seamus is so fun to watch because she has so much energy and will jsut run and run and run. she was very good when it was time to go, only struggling a little bit at first but then settling into place. saturday dinner was pretty fun. sirus had his very first rice cereal. he made some funny faces but all in all it was a sucess. seamus was also very funny. her dinner was turkey, asparagus, cheese and whole wheat bread. but she decided she wanted cheerios instead and i decided that was ok. the funny part was when eric came home, i asked her to tell him what she had for dinner she rattled off all off everything that was on her plate, plus applesauce since that is what she thought sirus was having, but didn't mention the cheerios at all. she is a funny one.
i don't remember the rest of saturday.
on sunday i was all irritated and sulking because eric had been gone all day on saturday and then was going to be gone most of the day on sunday. i was mostly irritated because he was going on a two hour mountain bike ride but then when i asked when he was leaving and when he would be back it somehow turned into a 6 hour outting which in reality turned into 7.5 hours. but in the morning seamus, sirus and i met up with some friends for brunch. i had thought we were going to someone's house but really we were going to a resturant and i was all concerned how seamus would do with that. it turned out that she was really good. she sat in her chair and colored and ate her milk with a spoon and ate most of her oatmeal. she also ate 3 little packages of jelly but that turned out to be ok, too. i was so proud of her, it was a special treat to have her there. sirus slept the whole time. seamus picked out her own outfit, too. a green and white baseball shirt, pastel striped capri pants, her yellow rain boots and the 24 hour church of elvis bib. i don't know what the fascination with the bib was but she wanted to wear it, so she did.
then we went home. i had thought about taking the kids to the park but i was so tired so i didn't do it.
so instead of being lame and sulking when eric got home i decided to be more friendly and just get over it. its much easier to just get over it then to sulk.
so i headed off to swimming lessons. i was going to just pout and not go but i decided that maybe i should and i am totally glad that i did. so i get there and sign up for the beginner clinic which is what they recomended to me based on the info i told them. there were 10 people there, one of whom was in a bikini. not judging, just commenting. we did some drills and swam the width of the pool several times. it was very fun and i was learning a lot. i have to keep my head down and my butt up a little more apparently. after 45 minutes one of the instructors from the other, non-beginner group came over and asked me to join the intermediate group - the group that got to swim in the deep end and the whole length of the pool. that made me all happy and it made me feel like i was doing a good job! i was in the slow lane, but i got to do more and i found out that i have a really long way to go before i can swim 1/2 mile. but i am on my way. before i left i signed up for more of the clinics. i am so excited!

rain rain rain

i am in LA right now and it is RAINING. raining very hard. and its cold, i have the heat turned on in my hotel room. i got here last night and am here until wednesday evening. its a work thing. it was very sad leaving the babies on sunday. last time i came down it was only for one night and i was so looking forward to the sleep, but this time its been a bit tougher. seamus cried as i was leaving and sirus was jsut all smiles and giggles as i was heading out. i had to lug the pump on the plane and have had to leave the conference several times during the day to take care of my motherly duties. the conference is in the same hotel that i am staying in so that is convenient and at least allows me to not have to do it in the bathroom so that is a plus.
the trip has been interesting. a co-worker bumped me up to first class for the trip down, but then i shared a cab with two other co-workers from the airport to the hotel but the la marathon was going on yesterday and the finish was right in front of the hotel so the cab driver dropped us off 4 blocks away. it was about 430 in the afternoon so the people that were still finishing the marathon didn't look so good. two people actually died in the marathon which is sad and strange at the same time. the hotel is very interesting. the shower is a big glass case with a curtain on one side. if you are laying on the bed, which is on the floor, you can look into the big glass shower. you can also look at the toilet if the curtain is open. you can watch tv while in the shower or while on the pot, too. the two showers i have taken so far have actually been much better then i thought they would b e and i wish eric were here so maybe he could build one at our house. the phone in the room has 10 buttons on it, other then the standard number buttons. there is the one for the front desk, room service and wake-up, but also heaven, hell, fluffer, alibi, motivational speaker, resutuarant and housekeeping. there was a sticker on the toilet paper roll of a stick figure taking a dump. is that stick figure in peril? i don't think so, but the one on the bottom of the trash can might be. real strange.
i had to give a presenation today. to 53 people. i was very nervous - i had a dream about it the other night even. i was also worried that the weird smell i kept smelling was me and my body's reaction to having to do the first presentation i have had to do since college, but it turned out it wasn't me at all but instead the 5 gallon dish of hummus that was hanging out in the back of the room. my presentaion was at 2pm. that is the time that i normally pump. as i sat waiting to start my presenation i could feel myself filling up. i was concerned that i would start leaking all over the place in front of 53 people. but i don't normally leak and i was wearing a black sweater, so there was no mess. it started off not so great because the person who gave the presentation before me kind of messed up the projector so i was worried that i wouldn't have my visual aides. but it all got fixed and i gave my presentation and it went well. i am a very quiet person and i had asked people to make sure that if they couldn't hear me to just deal with it and to not ask any questions. after the presentation, one of the people i had said this to said they were suprised as to how well i projected and that i exuded confidence. that made me happy. thank goodness its over and now i can just hang out for the rest of the conference and miss my babies.

toenail tunnel no more

so last night i just couldn't take it anymore. i cut the little bridge off of my toe. the toenail tunnel is no longer there. it looks way grosser then it did with the little bridge there but oh well, now maybe it won't drive me crazy as much - less to pick at.

so, is it ok that i have been eating at least 1/2 a box of girl scout cookies a day? i am going to be in so much trouble when i am done nursing.

seamus makes me laugh. we had taught her some baby sign language. ok, so we didn't teach her, my mom did, but we used them with her. we only used more, eat and drink. even now that she can talk pretty well, when she gets very excited about something she will use the more sign. its pretty cute. there was a while when she would go from totally happy and content to starving as though we don't ever feed her in which she would use the eat sign while yelling "eat dinner" whether it was breakfast, lunch or dinner. that too was pretty funny but she is over it now.

i was totally refreshed yesterday because sirus had only woken up once and it was at 345, so i had a nice stretch of sleep. the lady at starbucks asked how the baby was and when i told her, she told me a funny story about her mom. you will often hear about how mothers who are used to waking up several times in the night being totally freaked out the first time their new baby sleeps through, afraid to check on the baby for fear that something has happened. the starbucks lady told me that the first time one of her mother's children slept for so long, the mom threw a slipper at the baby from accross the room to wake it up before going over to the crib. funny but weird and understandable at the same time.

ya know what feels good?

i will tell you - scalding hot coffee in your eye ball at 7am. i am working on a lawsuit against my travel coffee mug because no where on it does it mention that the contents i am about to enjoy are very hot. if i would have known this i would not have poured the coffee into my eye ball and all over my face this morning. i bumped the mug against the steering wheel while i was getting into the car and splish splash next thing you know i was having a coffee facial. thank goodness i drink my coffee black, no sugar and decaf. i would have hated to see what a bunch of sugar in the raw would have done to my mascara.
on sunday we took the kids to run the st patricks day dash. it was so much fun. we got on the shuttle bus to go to the start and seamus was all in awe of what was going on. she looked all around at everyone and everything. we were the first ones on and the last ones off because we had our stroller, but as soon as the bus started to unload seamus was all about "all done bus, all done bus" and ready to go. unfortuantely i didn't take any photos of the kids in their green gear, they were awefully cute! after the dash everyone went home and took a two hour nap except for eric, he went on a 3 hour bike ride.
seamus seems to have mellowed out on the screaming a bit. instead she is singing! all of the time! it is so cute. i went out the other night and came home just after she had gone to bed and i stood outside her door and she was singing "a mommy, a daddy, a mommy, a daddy" over and over again. she sings other real songs, too, like twinkle twinkle little star, the ABCs, Where is Thumbkin and A Bushel and a Peck. She is so cute when she sings, I totally love it. I have to try to record it because its something i don't ever want to forget!

rewarding bad behavior

to reward seamus for all of her screaming we are going to take her to disneyland. i am so excited. at first eric didn't want to go but i was going to take seamus with or without him. he has since decided that he will come with us, thank goodness because i don't know how i would have done on my own. the trip is booked, plane tickets bought and hotel reservations made, all for the first week of may. did i mention that i am so excited? sirus will stay here with grandma. he should have fun i think, but it will be strange not having him with us. i wonder if seamus will mention it?

here are some new photos.

everyone has an animal towel. seamus is a grey kitty just like seamus mccat. she gets very upset if she takes a bath and has to use a non-kitty towel.

sirus has an elephant towel. he is very cute when he is all cuddled up in it!

this is from the very first outing in the new double stroller. seamus was screaming about something so that is why her eyes are closed. screaming is much more effective if you have your eyes closed and can't see that that the screaming is getting you no where. except for possibly disneyland

sirus has whispy blonde hair! he also has a left pupil that is always just a little bit bigger then the right one.

easter bunny in training!

seamus about to eat sirus.

sirus looks very concerned but very cute at the same time. i love that he has a little bit of drool on his chin!

terrible twos

so now that seamus is better she thinks that she needs to scream every waking second of the day. not just lets be loud screaming but full on, 100%, all out, bright red face screaming with the occasional laying on the floor with her head in her hands -either face down or face up depending on her mood. we were at the craft store yesterday and she started screaming and she didn't realize the floor was hard there so when she layed down and threw her head back it went wack, which of course led to more screaming, but who could tell the difference.
i am trying to convince eric that we should take her to disney land in march. he is suposed to tell me today if he wants to go or not, but with all of this screaming i don't think he will want to go, at least not with her.
she screams about wanting a bottle instead of a cup, wanting the red cup instead of the orange, wanting a straw instead of the sippy lid, wanting neither a straw nor a lid, wanting oatmeal, wanting oatmeal RIGHT NOW, the oatmeal is too hot, wanting raisins, wanting to wear her blue jammies instead of the green ones, wanting her diaper changed, not wanting her diaper changed, wanting you to follow her upstairs, wanting a pencil, changing her mind and wanting a pen instead, wanting crayons instead, wanting markers instead, wanting to be held, wanting to be put down, wanting hugs, not wanting hugs.
IT IS CONSTANT SCREAMING

toe update

i wanted to give a quick update on my feet. the pain and swelling are gone and we have been taking the family jogs about every other day without any issues so far - hooray! my toe on the other hand is a bit fascinating. as you may remember i stubbed it on the stove and it peeled all the way back. we bandaged it up and it seemed to have connected itself back. well, apparrently it didn't really. i am going to try to take a photo of what it has become because it is so amazing, but essentially it connected itself back on the sides but not in the middle. while growing, it has been growing up as well as out - so you can actually see through my toe nail, like its a little bridge. i am tempted to pull a piece of yarn through it and make some toe jewelry for it and i am also tempted to cut it totally away but i am afraid of what that might do. anyway, its amazing, let me tell you and if i do cut it away or if it falls off on its own i will put it in the altoid box on my desk with all of the other tan colored mystery items that ones lived on geminder's monitor.

the baby seamus, part 2

so it looks as though the baby seamus is finally feeling better. she had me very worried there for a while. she was just so weak and wouldn't eat anything. it looks like she is getting some molars in, too so that might be contributing to the eating thing. yesterday she was definitly much better and the night before she was well enough to run away from eric when he tried to get her into a diaper. sirus has a cough now but we think he is ok although he is now really getting the hang of the rolling over thing. he rolled over for the first time back in december but then would only do it occasionally but not he will do it all the time. last night when we went in to check on him before bed he had rolled onto his belly and scooted down so his legs were hanging out of the crib. we pulled him out and rolled him onto his back but this morning he was back on his belly. he is so funny. we took the kids on the family job last night. sirus is so funny during it. he keeps his eyes wide open and looks all around. seamus is content since she gets a blanket, too. its been so much fun!

the baby seamus

oh, poor baby seamus! she is sick! it is so sad to see her this way. this is the first time she has been sick to the point of throwing up. she can't eat or drink anything without it coming back out a few minutes later. she just lays there asking for water to drink but even if we just give her the tiniest of sips she throws it up. she is so tired and weak that she will walk a few steps then lay on the floor and fall asleep. she went to the doctor yesterday and he said she should be feeling better today so lets keep our fingers crossed that not only does she feel better but also that sirus doesn't wind up getting sick, too.

too

seamus is in a funny stage where she seems to be comparing things. this morning we had everyone in the bed and eric told seamus she was all warm and cozy. she then turned to sirus and said "sirus warm and cozy, too" she the said "sirus eating" because he was but eric said, no, sirus is sucking on a boob. so seamus repeated "sucking on a boob". ahhh, my child is so well versed.
we will go for the family jog again tonight unless eric is injured. he woke up this morning with his back totally tweaked and the slipped on the ice and fell on his arse while crossing the street this morning. hopefully he is ok. he has a race on sunday so hopefully hje is ok by then at least.
we went to sushi land for lunch today where the sushi comes by on a conveyer belt. its cheap and tasty. we used to go to this place called the eating factory which was an all you can eat sushi buffet like place but it closed down. it grossed me out alittle that it was called the eating factory but i got over it.
i was thinking the other day that i have been either pregnant and/or nursing a baby every day since may of 2003. that means it has been almost 3 years since i have known what it is like to be normal. i forget what it is like! i can only imagine.

family jog

so yesterday when i got home from work seamus noticed i had a bruise on my leg. she said mommy ouchie. then she said seamus ouchie too and lifted her pant leg up to her knee to show me. i didn't see any ouchie on her but i made a fuss anyway since i thought it was cute. then the family went out on a family jog. eric picked up a double jogging stroller the other day so that everyone can come along and so that pushing the kids would slow him down enough to stay at my pace. sirus fell asleep and seamus talked the whole time. it was dark out on the trail and it was raining but we had fun. we started out where i had left off - 14 minutes and it went well. by the time march 12 comes around we will be ready for the st patricks day dash. both seamus and sirus will come with us which i think seamus will really like. she seems to think its pretty neat that sirus gets to sit next to her as it is.
as i was getting ready for work this morning seamus told me several times no boots on the carpet which is correct but i never went on the carpet in my boots, i guess she was just warning me. she is a funny one.

february fun

Lots happened in February. Valentines Day for instance. For Valentines Day Sirus got a new red shirt with a big blob of slobber on the front of it. Apparantly that is funny.

Seamus got a valentines day outfit, too, but she is much more mobile and therefore it is much more difficult to get a photo of.

Also in February is Eric's brithday. He turned 32. I made him this hotdog cake:

Everyone wanted some of the hotdog cake.

Eric liked it because he could pick it up and eat it with one hand.

Seamus liked it because it was cake.

It has been very chilly but sunny out. we went and test drove some more cars yesterday. test driving cars is both so much fun and very depressing at the same time. i will likely be driving the pontiac forever. sigh....

it snowed the other day

so on monday night when we went to bed there was some crazy lightning and thunder. i don't like those things at all and i wanted to go grab the babies and stick them in bed with us. but i didn't. in the morning when i woke up there was snow on the ground! not a lot but enough that there was maybe an inch on my car. good fun right there. this week its suposedly going to be the coldest week in 10 years.
i picked up my orthotics this morning and can't fit them into the shoes i have on today. this is never going to work, but i will see what i can do about it.
sirus has been sleeping quite well the past few nights - waking up only at around 230 or 3 and then again at 530 or 6. that is perfect for right now. i would be more then happy if he managed to keep it this way for a while.
so i think we ahve the new car figured out, now we just have to wait to the cash muney to roll in. should be rolling in the beginning of march.
this morning seamus drew a circle which she does quite often but something about this circle she was very excited about. she came running over to me saying "i drew a circle".
grandma says that sirus rolled back to front yesterday which is pretty exciting but then seamus of course came and rolled him back to how he was to begin with. he is getting so strong. last night he was lifting himself up on his hands and managed to get his knees under him a bit so that his whole tummy was off the ground for a little bit. he did this for quite some time and it resulted in him scooting backwards a few feet.
seamus has become quite the acrobat. she will lay on the couch and slide backwards off so that her head is on the floor then she will kick her feet over. also, if eric lays on the floor on his stomach and has his knees bent, she will climb up onto his feet and "super man". she will then scoot herself forward and sumersault off of his feel. she flings herself all over the place.
ok, so that is all!

eric had the vision

so, i found some photos of our house from before we moved in. what were we thinking? eric reminded me though, that i was totally gaga over the house when we first got it but now looking at the photos i can see just how much work eric has done. totally unreal.
here are some of the kichen before and after.
these two are taken from pretty much the exact same angle. the window in the before photo was turned into a door that will go out onto a patio. the stairs were flipped so now they go down from accross that door when in the before it was just a wall.

in the photo below, you can see that we moved the fridge over, opened up a doorway into the living room where the fridge was, and put the downward stairs in where that corner wall is.

these ones you can see how there used to be a kitchen nook. eric closed that up but left a passthrough, moved the sink into the corner with the windows and created a bunch more counter and cupard space. the nook was so small it was barely usable. we could fit a small table in there but with two people sitting at it, it was cramped.

there is still some finish work that need to be done, like around the windows and some trim like stuff, but it blows me away to see what eric has done!

major poundage

so, the kiddos went to the doctors today, seamus for her 2yr check up and sirus for his 4 month. sirus is now 16 lbs 12oz and 25.25 inches long. he is 75th% all around including his noggin. seamus is 30 pounds and 35 inches tall, 75% for height and 80% for weight. ther doctor said she was having a tough time examining seamus's tummy because seamus's abs of steel wouldn't let her poke around. seamus got one shot and didn't even cry! not even one little bit. the snoopy bandaide helped though. sirus got 4 shots and cried a little but not very much at all. seamus commented that he had stckers on his legs just like she did. eric put her hair in cute little pony tails and she wore the new outfit grandma got her for her birthday. after the appointment eric took seamus and sirus to cold stone creamery for seamus's free birthday creation! i came to work.

big weekend

Sirus was all bundled up to go get seamus's haircut. it was super windy that day and he was super concerned!
seamus did really well during the hair cut. she sat perfectly still but was more then ready to get out of the chair when it was done.on sunday we had a birthday party for seamus. she turned two and is ready for some cake!

seamus got a funny cow-in-the-box that she was suprised by every time it popped out!

eric built this slide in the back yard for seamus and her cousins. they must have gone down that slide at least 100 times each.
first co-ed bath time.
and sirus just recently found his feet!

cement be gone

last week the people who are tearing up our road took pitty on eric and came and hauled away all of our cement. they saw him stacking giant cement chunks in the driveway and came and told him that if he managed to get it all to the road and dump it with their cement debris that they would haul it away. after 4 or 5 wheel barrel loads they came back with a tracktor and 5 guys to load it all in one trip. this was a huge deal since it would have cost about $2000 to get rid of it all. this is seamus and the cement this summer.
I also thought i would post some before photos of the remodel, well, i guess they are in progress photos. here is our family room and here it is now. i posted the after photos back in december, but its fun to see them next to the in progress photos here.

and our bedroom:

here is our stairwell. the stairs come down from there, when they used to come down from the other side.
I will have to post more after photos and some photos from seamus's bday party when i upload them!

go hawks

so the seahawks will be playing in the superbowl this weekend. if they weren't playing i would likely not be interested in it at all, but maybe i would be just a little since the steelers are in it. i will watch the game this year.
seamus turns 2 on super bowl sunday. we are not having a superbowl birthday party but instead will have a hello kitty birthday party and then some football watching action afterwards. i am excited for seamus to turn two. we are having a small party this year with just family but some of her cousins are coming and seamus loves to play with her cousins.
seamus is getting her first haircut tomorrow in preparation for her big day. i have trimmed her bangs and the most recent trim was really very bad so hopefully they can fix it. this is a big weekend and i am all excited.
sirus has found his feet. he doesn't play with them too much since he always has jammies on but as soon as those jammies are off those feet are in his hands.
everyone goes to the doctor on tuesday for checkups and shot! oh my!

feet and tumbling

so, i kept forgetting to mention that seamus has learned to do summersaults all on her own. its pretty funny and she seems to like to do them. very impressive. she can also count like crazy these days. she will count her fingers and pretty much anything there is to count.
i went to the foot doctor yesterday and he made fun of my slow ramp up to 14 minutes of jogging. i wasn't offended though but told him i had to ramp up slowly to avoid injury and imagine what would have happened had i not! anyway, the heel issue is achilles insertion tendonitis or something like that due to some very tight achilles. i ahve to do some stretches and stuff and he is making me some new orthodics since mine are so 1992.
sirus was talking up a storm last night. he was sitting on eric's lap just talking away. he likes to talk. we don't remember seamus talking as much as he does at this age so he must take after his dad.

new car new car

now that i am back at work the drama of the new car is back. i have been itching for a new car for the past few years but now that my trusty pontiac is approacing the 10 year mark in may, i am thinking i might have to make my move. i want to get a volvo but eric doesn't really want us to be a 2 volvo family but when i ask him what else he is thinking of he says we should just look around. i have looked and i would like another volvo. if i am going to spend 1-2 hours a day in my car, i want it to be a semi luxourious 1-2 hours. we will see what happens but i am hoping it will be sooner rather then later.

seamus will be turning two in a few days and that is totally unreal to me. i can't beleive it has gone by so quickly. she is going to get a real haircut the day before her birthday, too. the ones i have been giving her just aren't doing her any justice. if she would be more cooperative when it comes to putting her hair in pony tails my hair cuts would be fine, but those pony tails last for all of 5 seconds on a good day. we will see how it goes.

there was lots of rain over the weekend. rediculous amounts.

we went to the bike store and got some new tires, a new chain and new cassette for my bike. that is very exciting. the plan is that when it gets nicer i will ride into work at least once a week, maybe even twice and then after work eric will come drop off the car and the kids and he then he will ride in the evening. i am looking forward to it. the morning works better for me since i haven't had much luck with ever being motivated to make the trip home - just too tired and totally uphill the whole way. now all i need is a new rear wheel. i wonder if i can still fit on a bike seat, it has been so long.

creepy glow in the dark butterflies crawl on my face

so, i went to the doctor this morning to discuss my foot. she doesn't seem to think that my pain and swelling and the likes are plantarted at all or maybe she does but she didn't say so. she says it looks like inflamation of where the achillies attaches to the heel. maybe its all the same thing i don't know, but she suggested i see a foot doctor since foot pain is not a new thing for me. i have an appointment for the 30th.
yesterday i went shopping for shoes that don't have high heels and that don't make me feel frumpy. the toenail on my right foot seems to be attaching itself so far so i decided it was ok to try on some shoes that weren't open toed. this turned out to be relatively sucessful. i wound up with two pairs. i got me some clarks, parsnips, new this season but also on sale, shown here:

they are cute and comfortable and even the doctor commented on them. the others are just some pointy toed black flats that i can wear with dress pants and even skirts. we will see how i manage to function 2 inches shorter then normal.

seamus and sirus were up to their usual shennanigans this weekend although seamus has now discovered the crack that is disguised as bob the builder. she wanted to watch it non stop and i have to admit i let her watch it quite a bit while eric was out riding his bike. the theme song is very catchy. it is performed by neil morrissey who i was hopping was the morrissey from the smiths but it is not. still, a very catchy tune. sirus sometimes sleeps very well and then sometimes doesn't sleep well at all. lately he hasn't been sleeping well. he is easy to get back to sleep once he wakes up but he just wakes up and gets so upset that i have to go get him. that plus he turns himself and will be bopping his head against the crib rails or he will get his feet stuck between them. he is so big!

the seahawks are going to the super bowl which is exciting and its all because sirus was wearing his sleepasaurus jammies yesterday that resemble seahawks colors. he also seemed to be very interested in the game while having tummy time.

i will totally win

so, the plantar is worse then ever despite the icing, the ibuprofining, the clog wearing, the no exercising, all of it. then, last night, to make everything even better, i was washing dishes, and turned to reach for something and managed to stubb the big toe of my other foot on the oven. ya know, on the totaly metal drawer that is underneath of the oven. now, i have stubbed my toes many times and it usually hurts but this time, it turned into a gory mess. blood was shooting out all over the place as the nail was ripped all the way back. totally gross, totally painful, totally throbbing. totally requiring me to not be able to wear even the clogs any more. my work wardrobe takes an even bigger step backwards. good thing i was all hippy dippy in my younger days and that i have kept my 20 year old birkenstocks because they are the only thing i can wear right now - with socks at least. so after they take off my fascia foot along with at least my big toe with no toenail, i will win the weight loss contest at work with little effort.

or is it that my fasciitis is plantared?

so i haven't actually looked at my feet very much, but last night eric and i took a look, since it was our anniversary and all, and did notice that my ankle is a bit swollen. hmph. booshiat. and because i am all gimpy my back is tweaking and my right knee is starting to hurt. i need to figure out how to walk. i have a drs appointment on monday so i think i might just slide this one in under the radar while i am there.
i have been thinking about the dumb plantar fasciitis commerical and it makes me think about the other dumb commercials out there. for instance the one for Eaton Technical College where two girls are talking and one is depressed about her job prospects. her friend asks her if she has thought about Eaton and the depressed girl says she isn't concerned about her diet... har-d-har-har. so dumb.
the other dumb commercial i can't stand is the one for Check into Cash. ugh, i hate the way they say check into cash and they say it 2937420735872 times during their 15 second slot. it annoyes me to the brink.
last year's anniversary celebration ultimately resulted in the birth of wonderful sirus. while we love sirus very much and especially so since he woke up only once last night and the night before, conception is not an anniversary tradition that we would like to take on. neither is what we did last night - had one dessert for each year that we have been married. in 20 years that would be a lot of dessert. the year before the sirus conception i was way pregnant with seamus and we ate donuts all day to the point where we were all pissed off at each other. these are all things we don't want to repeat. we need to figure something out for next year.
i have joined the weight loss contest at work. silly silly but we will see what happens. i have lost 36 of the 40 pounds i gained while pregnant with sirus, but it would be nice to be able to wear the obscene denim cut off shorts from highschool that eric has been begging me to wear ever since he first saw them stuffed in the dresser drawer in my old bedroom at my mom's house. i will keep you posted. if they have to chop off my foot inorder to make it not hurt, i am sure to win.

my plantar is fasciated

so, allie has sent me her diagnosis and while i am not happy with it, i am pretty sure she is correct. she is an avid runner and has had plenty of feet issues in her time, so i think she is right on in her suspision of plantar fascitis. now, i am ok with it being plantar fascitis except for one thing - they have the absoulue DUMBEST commercials about it on the radio. i hate them and i hate how they say plantar and the dumb guys is like huh? and i dont want anything associated with that dumb commercial. but alas, that commercial was made for me.
so no running - i won't ever make it to 16 minutes at least not any time soon.
i also will not be able to be 6'1" for at least the next few weeks because i can't wear any of my heels. that blows. not only do i not feel the pain when i wear the heels, the only non-heel shoes i have are clogs, running shoes and sandals - none of which go with my work atire at all. i will power through this though. there are much worse things in life then wearing sandals in the middle of seattle's attempt at beating its record for most straight days of rain.

the agony of defeet

so, my running career is over i think. before i even managed to get myself to 16 minutes. ok, hopefuly that is not the case but my heel is KILLING me. the worse thing is going down stairs - something about how my foot moves while going down stairs is just the worst. walking kind of sucks, too, unless i am on my toes or in high heels. what am i going to do/ this is sooooo lame.
but there is sun today! i can see it out the bedroom window!! and the seahawks are 1 game away from making it to the super bowl. and i got some new sunglasses yesterday so i can try them out today. i won't even talk about the handbag.

is it justifiable?

how can i get away with buying a $450 hand bag? i am trying to convince myself as to how it would be ok to do, but really it isn't ok at all. but if my computer fits in it, plus a bunch of other crap, is it ok?

i cried, it rained, i went shopping

so this morning while at work and while partaking in my morning pumping regime, i just broke down and started to cry. it makes me sad to be away from my babies and i miss them so much. when i get home i am so tired but i have been trying to spend as much time with them as i can, but i miss them and i feel like i am missing out on so much stuff. to top it off i am having a hard time getting back into the groove at work. i am going to CA on monday so hopefully that will help with the work side of it, but not so much with the missing of the babies.
wouldn't you miss this little guy, too?

we have had lots of rain lately, like 24 days straight or something. and its not typical seattle drizzle, it is rain. i am thinking that is contributing to my sadness. i am hoping it will be sunny and warm in CA so that i can get a dose of it and maybe that will help.
yeah, so i went shopping because there wasn't much i could do about missing the bebes and there isn't much i can do about the rain. so shop i must.
my foot still hurts but not as bad as last night. i did not wear the clogs today. i wore some boots but they weren't the 3 inch stilettos that caused the problem in the first place. ok, the other boots aren't really stilettos but they certainly do not have a sensible heal on them at all. the bad arse motorcycle boots i have on today are a bit more sensible.

stupid favorite boots

so, i am a little irritated at the moment. i am having heel pain. so much so that it hurts to flex my foot when i walk. but, only when i walk without high heels on.
so we went for our 14 minute run today at lunch time. it was pouring down rain, i think there was even some hail it seemed as though. so we didn't get our full pre run walk to warm up in and we just started going. about 7 minutes in i noticed my left foot was hurting some but it was ok i figured since we had only 7 more minutes. i went to the locker room, got dressed, put on my lovely high heeled boots and went on my merry way. no more heel pain. a few hours later i came home and took of those lovely boots and wow, my foot just doesn't work. it hurts! once again i curse the multi level living that eric has worked so hard to provide for us, but not because i am tired of going up and down the stairs like before, but because the stairs hurt my foot. i go up and down the stairs like seamus - both feet hit each stair. i feel like monica in that episode of friends where she spent some huge amount of money on boots that she totally loved but then couldn't wear because they hurt her feet too much. she eventually loses them when she stops to take them off on the sidewalk somewhere. i won't lose my lovely boots because my feet weren't hurting while wearing them, but they have been packed away and i will wear the clogs for a few days and hope the heel gets better soon. i thought the slooooow ramp up would prevent this type of thing. hopefully it is just a fluke.

oh, i ruined it!

so, i was supposed to floss last ngiht but i didn't!! i was only day 4 of the new year and only the 2nd time of the new year that i was supposed to floss and i did not do it!!
ok, so I kind of have an excuse and by saying that i will do it at least 3 times a week makes it so i can floss today to make up for it. but still, i wanted to stick to my schedule. my excuse was that i don't think i could have phisically done it. here is the whole story:
so at lunch time, the coworker and i went for out 8 minute run (friday it will be 10!). while i was getting ready though, i kind of had a headache but then during the run and after i was feeling fine. as the rest of the day went on though i started to feel a little not well. by the time i left work i was feeling very not well. on the drive home i started to worry that maybe i had food poisoning or something but i am pretty sure it was just a migraine. i felt like i was going to throw up but was all worried about throwing up all overmyself and then having to drive the rest of the way covered by puke. anyway, i made it home puke free and went straight in to take a shower in case it was a sinus headache, and maybe that would help. eric and seamus were eating dinner with sirus looking on. after my shower i went right to bed, i couldn't function at all. i was so sad because those babies are so darn adorable and i only saw them for such a short time. i did get up at around 7 and hung out with them until their bedtimes. it was the first time eric had put sirus to bed and it all went well, so that is good. then i began asking eric to do all kinds of various things for me. i was still in my bathrobe from my shower so that i how bad i was. i got hooked on the biggest looser family edition and stayed up until 10 in order to see how it ended then we went to bed. i was still feeling not so well, but the horrible headache was pretty much gone and i had eaten some toast and had some water, but i could not get myself up the stairs to the bathroom to pee let alone brush my teeth and floss. sirus woke up 3 times during the night, each time i fell asleep in the chair while holding him. i still felt a little like arse this morning and then i have gotten a little worse as the day has gone by. i am not so sure about this.

resolve

so i have a bunch of new years resolutions this year. i usually don't have any because there usually isn't anything that i want to work towards. this year there are a bunch and i will mention just a few here. one being that i will floss my teeth at least 3 times a week. i do not floss enough, so 3 times a week will be way better then none at all. to make sure I do it, it will be a monday, wednesday, friday thing.
while on maternity leave i used the company sponsored gym membership every other day and it was great. i could use a travel pass for the gym right by my house. now going back to work i want to schedule it into my day which if i want to use the gym, its like 238277236 miles away and will eat up way too much of my day. so i have convinced two of my co-workers to go on lunch time runs with me. this accomplishes two things - i can save money by not going out to lunch all of the time, and i can work on my fittness a little. this works well because the one had already commiteed himself to running the vancouver marathon in april - committed by registering, reserving his hotel, buying his amtrack ticket all of that. the other we confronted today and he was like - what the hell, ok. so we will start out slow because we are all pretty much out of shape. i am all concerned about the shin splints because that is what plagues me most, but i felt fine yesterday after my 5 minute jog. yes, i said 5 minute jog but i also said we would start out slow. tomorrow we will do 8 minutes, and the rest will be walking.... and it will gradually increase over time... i would like to do the st patricks day dash which is "nearly" 3 miles i think and it would be fun because we could bring seamus along and then eric and i want to do the sea fair half marathon in july or august if they are having it this year. depending on how that goes we might try the seattle marathon, but i did a marathon in 1998 and that was all fine and dandy and i don't know if i really need to do another one, unless i am feeling ok with this whole running thing. i hate to run but its not like cycling in that it doesn't make me so super hungry that i wind up eating my own hand or anything. i also want to do the danskin triathlon, ugh but i don't know about this whole lake swimming thing.... anyway, those are some of the things i want to accomplish this year.
i also want to be a better mom, wife, daughter, friend and accomplish more at work. i have some specific goals around each of those, but i don't want to put all that here because someone might make me be accountable for them if i do.

kittytoo

eric put a temporary tattoo on seamus's arm. he told her it was a tattoo, but she seems to think he is saying cattoo because she keeps pointing to it calling it a kittytoo.

goopy eye and leather chair

this morning when seamus woke up her eyes were totally gooped up. once the goop was washed off though it looked as though the goop was coming from her left eye only. sirus was shooting out snot and coughing, so eric made a doctor appointment for the two of them this morning.
since i am addicted to the internet and to saving money i went to costplus.com and checked on the leather chair that we bought at the beginning of the month. i was just casually looking, not expecting it to be 38% less then what we paid for it. but it was so i said wholey shiat we need to do something about that. so i called them up asking for a price adjustment, but they told me it was longer then the standard two weeks after purchase, so i told them that what i really wanted was to get the price adjustment on the one we already bought and then buy another one. they were fine with that so we went and took care of it and then that was that and it made me happy. i love cost plus and think we will wind up getting our bedroom furniture there someday, too.
after that we took the bebes to the doctor and he basically said it looked like we all had colds but that seamus has a super infection, yes he said super. anyway its because she got a bacterial infection - the eye goop, on top of the viral thing everyone else has. she got some ointment for her eye ball and will eagerly tell you about her eye goop. i hope sirus sleeps well tonight and doesn't get any sicker. same for seamus, that would not be fun.

sleep, glorious sleep

so, last night was a night that we hope repeats itself - often. well, at least some of it. i have been feeling like arse the past few days. so has everyone else in the house, excpet for sirus, who has been feeling fine, so that is good. anyway, i started back at work on tuesday and combined with feeling like arse and waking up during the night i have been very tired. last night i was done. sirus went to bed 15 minutes early and even before seamus was tucked into bed at 8, i was in my room, lights off and ready to pass out. now here comes the glorious part that i hope repeats itself - sirus didn't wake up until a little after 1:30!! That means I got 5 1/2 hours of uninteruppted sleep!! it was beautiful!! I was back in bed by 2 and slet until seamus started crying at around 5. she woke up sirus, so i went in to him and eric took care of seamus. poor seamus has been sick with a cough and sneezy runny nose for quite some time now, i hope she gets better soon. when i went to check sirus, though, i was suprised to see that he had turned himself about 120 degrees counter clockwise. either that or he had turned himself 240 degrees clockwise.

Friday, December 23, 2005

so they all rolled over and one fell out

ok, so know one fell out sirus rolled over gain yesterday - a few times in a row. he and seamus were both laying on the tummys on the floor and then his giant noggin started to lean to one side and once it got far enough over the rest of him just kep going. seamus thought it was pretty funny so i rolled him back to his tummy and we both started cheering for him to do it again and he did. each time seamus laughed and then we would try it some more. finally we called eric in to see it since he doesn't quite beleive it, and we sat there telling sirus again, again, again - seamu even reaising her voice yelling it a few times and alas, it was too much pressure and the poor kid just put his face down on the blankent instead.
he has been sleeping very well the past two nights, which is making me very happy in anticipation of going back to work in just a few days. he got up a 12:45 and 5 last night and 1:45 and 4:45 the night before. things are looking pretty good on that front. i sure am going to miss these kids when i go back to work. i had the hardest time falling asleep last night and then a hard time each time i woke up after....

ok ok ok

so, the hair i think may be getting better. it hasn't shown the extra pair of ears that it was originally doing and the color is good. i have an appointment for wednesday to get it fixed but maybe i will leave it.
when i opened my email this morning it said there were 87 new emails and not one was anything other then spam.
sirus slept well last night. i think he knew it was because we are going to try and help him sleep through the night this week so i can get some decent rest before going to work. anyway, he went to bed at his usual 730 and woke up again at 1am. thats a good stretch. i got up with him because i am ok with getting up once. then he woke up again at 418am. i got up again because that is close enough to 530 i decided. then we all slept until after 7 when eric got up with seamus and i stayed in bed until after 8. tonight we will try to push the 418 close to 530, and lets hope the 1am thing sticks.
i have been feeling quite inadequate and depressed the past few days. i am not sure why but its not a good feeling. i have also been having some pretty hefty allergy attacks, especially last night.
so today i start a new diet as i do almost every day. but it is the last week before i head to work again and i need to see some progress. i wore my super skinny jeans that eric got me for xmas last year but as i told him, sure, i was able to get them on, but i runneth over... i have to work on that runneth over part.

bad hair day

so, i went to get my hair done yesterday. i told the lady i wanted something dramatic and different, and my main thing was that i no longer wanted to look like a 30 something mother of 2. so i walked out looking like a 40 something tv sitcom lady. bad bad bad. but then it got worse. i washed it last night and it looked ok until i woke up this morning. i am so depressed. i have never been so depressed over a hair cut. i remember once when i was younger being so excited to go to get my hair cut and then they totally did some weird stuff to it with the curling iron and all and breaking down in tears on the way to the car. that was ok because as soon as i washed it out it looked fine. this is not the case this time its just bad and i feel frumpy, old and depressed, not young, pretty and happy. not one bit. they guarantee their hair cuts so i can go in and see if they can fix it, maybe i will do that if i can't get it under control today. ugh.

xmas tree

we went to get our mas tree on friday! it was an adventure! most of my photos of seamus are of her running away from me. this is pretty much the only one where you can see her face.

we have moved into the basement and now have a dining room table on which to have dinner as a family. here is sirus sitting on dad's lap at the table and then the kids giving a tour of the basement remodel.

seamus and sirus play nicely together
and sirus just is too darn cute on his 2 month birthday.

i go back to work very soon and i am sad about that. i have had so much fun the past 11 weeks that i am going to miss seeing my 3 favorite people all day every day.

and here is seamus napping. she is so cute when she is asleep, i can hardly beleive it!

huge!

sirus accomplished a huge milestone today!! he rolled over! 3 times!! this is huge since he is pretty young to be doing that!!

also, tonight is his first night sleeping in his crib in his own room! i hope he does ok! seamus has adjusted very well to her new room and seems to like it!

eric and i have asjusted quite nicely to our new room and i totally love it!

slappin that arse

so i had just rememberd something that i had to put down so i wo'nt ever forget how darn cute it was - the other day seamus was running around nekkid. i can't remember if it was after a bath or one of the times she had wanted to sit on the potty and then just be nekkid after or what, but she was nekkid none the less. while nekkid and running around, she was running the funny way that she does sometimes where she keeps her legs strait and kind of kicks them out in front of herself as she runs. she was moving all over the place very quickly like this and all the while she was slapping her little rear end with her hand. it was so funny and just so strange.
i was also thinking the other day that i need to make a list of words she knows. i was going to do it when she turns two - along with getting her a real haircut, but i think now would be a good time, too. maybe its because this past week is seems has she started calling me mommy which makes my heart melt. she will stand outside my bedroom door and call out mommy to me!
so these are the words she says through out the day. She will repeat many more and if you ask her to point to many more she knows what they are, but these are the ones she uses on her own regularly:
mommy, daddy, kitty, cat, puppy, doggy, cow, moo, pig, chicken, chick, duck, quack, birdie, elephant, eat, cup, green, yellow, blue, purple, red, tractor, truck, airplane, baby, bath, color, high chair, tv, teletubbies, bed, blankie, towel, potty, fork, pears, fishies, broccoli, bottle, help, farmer, lion, one, two, three, bye bye, car, seat, sit, jump, hand, head, teeth, cheek, chin, elbow, knee, feet, toes, boot, sock, pant, shirt, bike, swing, slide, park, out, no, whee, pillow, cracker, toast, grandma, back pack, hello kitty, pretty, bracelet, glasses, ring, whoa, elmo, happy
there are likely more, but those are the ones that come to mind right now.

big baby

so, its been a while and while not a lot has happened, a lot has happened. sirus turned 8 weeks on monday. he went in for his appointment on tuesday and weighed 13pounds 15onces! huge! 95th percentile! seamus was 95th percentile at her 8 week appointment too, but as a girl she was a little smaller. sirus is doing great, cute as can be and he will smile for us, too. his blonde hair is in an adorable fau-hawk, especially after i put pertolium jelly in it to try to help with the cradle cap.
(as i sit here, i hear that eric has just changed a sirus poppy diaper only to walk back in the living room to a seamus poopy diaper. i am safely hidden in the bedroom for a little longer - whew! )
seamus is growing her vocabulary in leaps and bounds. as eric was just commenting on it being his lucky day because of all of the poopy, she was spouting "lucky day" as he carried her into her room. when eating, she no longer just asks for more, but instead will ask for more of the particular item she wants - more pears, more chicken, etc. instead of askin "where'd it go?" she will now ask "where'd daddy go? where'd mommy go? where'd farmer go? where'd kitty go?" she is a cutie that is for sure.
eric is working hard on the basement. it is almost done! our tile is in and the carpet will be installed on monday! we should be getting our interior doors today, too. it looks so amazing! he has done a phenomenal job! once the carpet is in we will be moving our bed downstairs and seamus into our room and then sirus into seamus's old room. hopefully everyone transitions well. we have also started looking at furniture options for the upstairs - mainly a dining table. oh the drama and the stress of it all.
i go back to work in just a few weeks which i am sad about. i have had so much fun home with seamus and sirus and eric when he isn't holed up in the basement. we are planning on taking seamus sledding before i head back. i am totally looking forward to it and to getting our christmas tree.
that is all for now.
