the bus the bus we must increase the bus

today i became overwhelmed with emotion at my new job and almost shed a tear. we were reviewing some of the new ads that we will be running and they were just so damn cool. i get a little teary just thinking about them.

other news. i ran to work today. okok, not the whole way, but to the bus stop, then i got on the bus and then i got off the bus and then ran to work. shower and repeat. its hard to say if it is any quicker. going into work its not. the whole process took 2 hours this morning, but that includes waking up, dressing, running to the bus stop, missing the bus by 2 minutes, waiting 13 minutes for the next bus, riding the bus, getting off the bus and running to work (i discovered there are 3 BBQs at our office building) shower and get to my desk ready to work at 8, actually 3 minutes before.

the way home only took 1 hour and 1/2 but there was no showering. i do think that the time spent in the vehicle was much less then if i had driven since there was lots of carpool lane action. the real test will be tomorrow when i drive. i might wind up with this bus thing more often, but opt for the bike ride on off days. i am kind of pooped right now.

good gawd! what are these people thinking. just looking at these photos makes the anxety juices start to flow:


day two of the new job was good. and the commute was fine, too.
i have an office! and i have a window with two big ever green trees right out the window. i don't quite know what i am looking at other then those trees but its nice. i like it! and i just got a big file cabinet. and i picked out a chair. i have a total kick arse monitor for my computer! its so big and i can see so much! one of the best things that happened today was that i was on a webex presentation with another company while they were giving a demo of a product. one of the other people on the call kept putting us all on hold and their hold music kept coming on. every single time the presenter got totally annoyed, gave a big sigh and you could practically see the steam coming out of the phone from him being so mad. made me laugh every time. i was on mute tho. its been pretty fun and i think i am starting to get the hang of it. hooray!
