dude, its march 14 and i am STILL sick. sort of. i have a sore throat still. it never went away despite the antibiotics. this was interesting to me because i talked to a guy at work who apparently has an ear infection, too and still has it despite being on his second round of antibiotics. maybe its more concerning then interesting? the doctor said he will send me to the ear nose throat doctor if its still there in two weeks.
but i am able to run and able to swim. i got some ear plugs for swimming and i LOVE them. on wednesday i saw further then i have ever gone before, both distance and time, which i was pretty excited about. i was by no means any faster, just further. it was still pretty exciting.
i run on the treadmill at work a lot. i like to either go at lunch or lately at the end of the day. the treadmill faces the window so i can look outside at the construction site accross the way and i watch as the IT guys go outside to smoke. they go out there and walk around. eric says they are probably going out there to check me out while i run. i think that is not the case. while i am long and lean, i do not look like elle mcpherson. there is nothing bouncing in slow motion while i run, so i am pretty sure no one is checking me out. plus i sweat a lot and there is no fan.
i run fast on the treadmill. despite the mph or pace on it, i am going fast nd i work hard. i always feel quite accomplished when i am done.
sunday i will run the saint patrick's day dash. hooray! i ran in 1998 and then in 2006. this year will be the year! it is a different coarse this time, but not too different. could be exciting!!
