dodged that bullet

so, i am going to let you in on something that i don't think i have ever told any of my dearest friends, ever.

i almost dated howard stern.

let me explain. i was going through some papers that i found back from when i was modeling as a teenager. (that in itself most of the friends i have made after highschool don't know because its a little embarrassing and i do'nt want people wondering how i could have done that when i have such a giant zit on my chin and look so haggared all the time). i was chosen from suposedly thousands of girls to be in the elete look of the year competition, which is a pretty big deal and was pretty exciting but at the same time back then i really didn't have a good understanding of what it meant. even though i didn't win or wasn't even a finalist, i can kick myself up and down all over the place because of the letter i came accross today. it was from the elete agency in NY saying that even though i didn't advance in the competetion they wanted me to come to their offices to see them and get my modeling on. WHAT? why didn't i do that? what is wrong with me? did i never read that letter? i really do't remember ever seeing it, WTF!!!! i digress. anyway, also amonst the papers was the program from the competition that listed all of the girls names. there was bambi and heather and jodie and a handful of other girls, but then there was beth. i remember her being really pretty and she advanced in the competition but they wanted her to cut her hair and if i recall, she wasn't so into that so i don't know what happened with her. bambi advanced, too but they told her she had to get her giggly arse in shape....

well, let me tell you what happened to beth. like i said i was looking at the program, and i remembered her, but her name, it sounded so familiar but i just coulodn't figure it out so i googled her. so i found someone with the same name on IMDB and the photos looked similar to what i remember her looking like, she was about the right age, the right height and from pittsburgh pa. i dug out the tape from the competetion because we had to say our names, ages and where we were from. and hot damn it was her. same person. beth ostrosky. i told eric and the first thing out of his mouth was "wow, just imagine, if you had kept modeling you could have been dating Howard Stern, too" when i old my mom she said she was glad that i wsan't dating howard stern because she didn't think she would like him as a son in law.

ha! have you seen interviews with them? she is very pretty but she is all like "my life is all about howard, i like to go out and do things but he doesn't so we just sit around at home but ha ha ha we are sooooo happy and i have built my life around howard." just think, you could have built your life around howard stern.

Instead, you built your life around an Eric. Eric builds a basement and Howard Stern locks himself in his basement. Good choice, Carrie.
